A Brief History of SCCSA

The Sunshine Coast Churches Soccer Assn was established on 14th September 1974, and we became incorporated on 18th November 1988.

Various churches had seen the need for a Saturday soccer competition for some time. In mid-1974, representatives from churches were invited to the informal discussion, and an Association was established. A general meeting was held on 15th November 1974. The Association covered from Caloundra to Cooroy-Noosa recruiting got underway to form two competitions under 10 years and an under 13 years and started with approximately 140 playing members.
